SOCIAL NORMS

BY TATSURO I 9TH

The community in Mohenjo Daro has a prosperous agricultural community and we always have a group of people we can look up to and ask for help. Men here allow women to stay home and relax by doing all the work for them. There are no kings or queens to rule everyone around and to keep all the food to themselves. The people to look up to and ask for help for lives in the upper portion of the city in forts. They also protect us with copper weapons. We also make many seals and many of the people are literate and have great hygiene. There is a bathing area and drainage system in every house hold so that every citizen is clean. Mohenjo Daro is also very diverse with about 35000 people with various races and the people there are systematic and elects officials. The clothing and accessories people wear in Mohenjo Daro are fillets made of gold or silver to keep hair in a certain position, ornaments like necklaces, and bangles made of precious metals. Women wear face paints and other cosmetics while men have long hair, parted in the middle and tidy in the back. The people also play dice to pass time also bull fighting, fishing, and clay modeling were general amusements for people.
